U.S. Rep. David Davis Paid Former Press Secretary Huge Campaign Bonus Within Weeks Of Hill Wikipedia Vandalism (& Before News Media Broke The Story)

Federal Election Commission - Rep. David Davis 'Davis Victory Fund' Operating Expenses, 2007-2008
Rep. David Davis, Timothy Hill, Wikipedia

Information drawn from campaign expenditure records filed by the Davis Victory Fund with the Federal Election Commission reveal that U.S. Representative David Davis (TN, R-1) on July 5, 2007 paid his former Congressional Press Secretary Timothy Hill a large $8,015 antedated (or more accurately, titled) "G-2006 CONGRESSIONAL BONUS" within weeks after Davis' press secretary deleted several paragrahs of accurate information from two Wikipedia political biographies on June 14, 2007.

The Knoxville News Sentinel broke the Hill Wikipedia vandalizing story in the mainstream press with the August 11, 2007 story of Hill using the assets of the U.S. House of Representatives to vandalize Wikipedia political articles of both his brother, Tennessee State Rep. Matthew Hill and U.S. Rep. David Davis:

HILL, TIMOTHY
BONUS G-2006 CONGRESSIONAL
BLOUNTVILLE TN 37617
07/05/2007 $8,015

The Davis G-2006 congressional bonus payment to Hill was actually the second distribution of campaign funds paid to Hill by Rep. Davis during 2007. The FEC expenditure reports that Hill received a much smaller payment from the Davis Victory Fund in January 2007:
HILL, TIMOTHY
ADMINISTRATIVE/SALARY/OVERHEAD: SALARY
BLOUNTVILLE TN 37617
01/15/2007 $649

Internet protocol numbers linked the June 14, 2007 vandalism of the Wikipedia political bios pertaining to both U.S. Rep. Davis and Tennessee State Rep. Hill back to the U.S. House of Representatives computer network in Washington, D.C. According to the early August Knoxville News Sentinel account, Hill first denied any personal involvement with the "blanking" vandalism of Wikipedia articles in which many paragraphs of accurate and verified information was simply deleted contrary to Wiki community user rules, and later after the interview, contacted the KNS reporter for a second interview in which Hill confessed to "editing" the Wikipedia biographies.
