Hey Hill, will you please get your hands out of your pockets and start showing some respect toward the Ten Commandments...and quit slouching!

This does smell of idolatry. You're supposed to read and follow the Bible, not worship a graven image of one passage.
Maybe it is O.K. as Rep. Davis appears to be laying his hands on the Jonesborough XC plaque,,,
I wonder if David Davis attends any NASCAR events in Bristol on the Sabbath?
If I didn't know any better I would think that he was trying to force his religion on my through the government.
