U.S. Rep. David Davis Boots Hill; Hires Blond Ball-Kicking, New York Yankee As Press Secretary

Rep. David Davis, Ryan Tronovitch
It appears as though all that live on -the -air "I love David Davis" ass-kssing by former WPWT 870 AM "Good Morning Tri-Cities" host Marx E. Simpleton was for naught as U.S. Rep. David Davis has hired a New Yorker for his new press secretary and his new guy is clearly, way off the Hill Reservation:

WASHINGTON --- Rep. David Davis' outgoing press secretary Timothy Hill introduced his successor on Wednesday - Ryan Tronovitch, who will be taking over Davis' media relations duties for the rest of his first term.

Hill, who was active in the election campaign of the Johnson City Republican, said he would be pursuing other interests.

"Tim has been a real asset to the 1st District and I'm looking forward to working with Congressman Davis," Tronovitch said.

"I want to continue Davis' tradition of operating under an open door policy."

Tronovitch, who has spent previous time working in media relations on Capitol Hill, said he was familar with the 1st Congressional District, adding that he looked forward to getting back to the see the mountains of East Tennessee.

In a released statement, Davis talked about his newest appointee:
"Ryan is a welcomed addition to my staff," Davis said. "He is a hard worker and understands my committment to open and accessible government."

Tronovitch graduated from State University of New York at Courtland [SUNYC] with a degree in political science.

His Capitol Hill experience includes communication work with two other Republican Congressmen, Rep. Mike Pence of Indiana and Rep. Peter Roskam of Illinois.

And here follows the WFHG 92.7 FM news account of U.S. Rep. David Davis hiring Tronovitch, given yesterday's big , heated blowout between frequent "Marc Bernier Show" caller Gary Melvin and host Marc Bernier. A Rhode Island native himself, Bernier took great (and often irrational) offense on the air to Melvin's measured and reasoned comments with regrad to U.S. Rep. David Davis hiring a "Yankee" press secretary given the great numbers of Tennessee First Congressional District residents who would have qualified for the $50k per year job at Davis' WDC offices:

Davis Has New Press Secretary

1st District Congressman David Davis has a new press secretary. Ryan Tronovitch replaces Timothy Hill who has stepped down to pursue other interests. Hill was at the center of controversy several months ago for allegedly trying to eliminate information about Davis on Wikipedia.Com. Tronovitch is a capitol hill veteran.

"Capitol hill veteran"? Har, har, har --- reads to me like neither the Johnson City Press or WFHG actually got the full story - Tronovitch is a fairly recent SUNYC graduate (2006), and according to the Legistorm web site, Tronovitch has only two months paid experience as a "staff assistant" with U.S. Rep. Mike Pence.

Suggested Fred Thompson 2008 campaign song: "He's Too Old To Cut The Mustard"

Performer Rosemary Clooney and Marlene Dietrich
Title Too old to cut the mustard

When I was young I had lots of pep,
I could get around I didn't need no help.
But since I'm old and a-gettin' gray,
The people look at me and say....

CHORUS:
Too old, too old,
He's too old to cut the mustard anymore.
He's a-gettin' too old, he's done got too old,
He's too old to cut the mustard anymore.

I used to could jump just like a deer,
But now I need a new landing gear.
I used to could jump a picket fence,
But now I'm lucky if I jump an inch.
Because I'm...

(CHORUS)

When I was young I had an automobile,
I'd scoot myself right under that wheel.
I had to fight the gals off with a stick,
But now they say, "Oh, he makes me sick,
Because he's..."

(CHORUS)
